Rubio Secures Reforms, Reauthorizes Indispensable National Security Authorities
The House and Senate passed a two-year reauthorization of Title VII of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA), which includes Section 702 authorities. The legislation also contains important reforms to both Title VII and Title I of FISA. The bill now heads to the President for signature into law.
Vice Chair of the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence Marco Rubio (R-FL) supported the bill, which included critical reforms, guardrails, and transparency provisions he proposed in November 2023.
